  • Apple A6 vs Nvidia tegra3, this is what eveyone has been asking. You may be wondering (like I am) these days, about what the near future holds for the tablet market. We are going to be in the 4th quarter here pretty soon and the next gen tabs should start hitting the shelves soon if we are to believe what these manufacturer’s keep feeding us with their press releases. Since the beginning of the year, Nvidia has been hawlking powerpoint slides of tegra3 and the roadmap of future parts, Asus has been talking of its second gen transformer and rumors...

  •   So now that all of you have recklessly sped off to bestbuy to pick up your 99 dollar HP Tochpads after the company killed the Damn thing, you played around with it, checked the browser performance, checked out the app market, played angry birds for exactly 30 seconds and looked about the tablets settings. Then you most likely googled “android touchpad/rom/xda” etc. this is why you are most likely here. To get to the point, it looks as if there is no android port yet, but not to say that there are not devs working on it right now....

  • So are you just getting by with your smartphones battery life? I am, and depending on the day, if I sense that my phone may die by days end, I am always on the lookout for some sort of power source to plug into if just for minutes so I can get thu to bed time. Yes it stinks but what can one do. Like many of you out there, I am not willing to go back to a dumb phone with great battery life or even a blackberry, ever. As of for those gigantic replacement batteries with the gigantic...

  • For all you early tegra 2 adopters out there, you are well aware of the android 2.3 update just released for your phones. One thing you may not know though, is that although you may have heard that the update is not OTA (over the air), the update is indeed, confirmed by myself, rolling out OTA from at&t. So if you are weary of actually going though the process of hooking your device up to your pc to to get the thing thing updated, no worries (im sure none of you are), you are just a few clicks away from...

  • Alright, forget what I wrote about netflix yesterday. Apparently netflix has gotten either a new version of their app up and ready for download on the android market, or whatever backend issues they might have been facing have been resolved. Funny stuff, its almost like the people that are working on the app are devs on XDA with their nightlies. I say so because the issues have been resolved lickity split. Which ever, This morning I deleted the apk and reinstalled fresh from the market. Launched it and it played nice. Here is a quick vid of the whole ordeal...

  • Yes, if you are rocking a Samsung Galaxy S device in the US, your wait for the Netflix app is finally over. Unfortunately it does not work.. You can download the application yourself from the Android market, but chances are that after you install it and login, it will force close without warning. So what is the fix? Haha.. You can head over to the XDA thread and try to figure it out, buy will end up dissapointed. The apk’s floating around will either not work whatsoever, or let you actually login but give you the infamous 1005 error when...

  •   For all of you apple fans out there, it looks like you guys may need to have your pennies saved for a August launch for the Iphone 5. What I am hearing from the grape vine is that at&t has a vacation blackout for employees starting August 19th through September 10th. What people around the web are speculating is that this vaca blackout is to accompany the launch of apples next iphone. Regardless, months from its normal annual lauch date, it looks as if Apple is the company that is now playing catchup. Making the phone in which it...

  •   So it seems that someone is pissed off at btcguild.com. The popular bitcoin mining pool went under a DDoS attack sometime late 07.05.2011 and has been down since. The site only had around 700 miners running around noon of 07.06 and that was only from the USeast server. As of right now as I am writing this, 10ish pm 07.06, it looks as if the servers are just down till the DDoS attacks stop. They are saying that the attack is most likely retaliation from a banning of a mining botnet. Some crazy folk are obviously speculating that the...
